Christmas village on Freyung square

The Old Viennese Christmas Market on Freyung Square was the first of its kind in Austria; since 1772, it has been steeped in Christmas traditions. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as crafts, glass decorating, and buying traditional nativity scenes and ceramics. Festive Advent music can be heard daily from 4 p.m.

From Zippererstraße, take the U3 subway line for 12 minutes to Herrengasse, then walk for about 5 minutes.
